Hey, I’m Karlyn!

(Pronounced car-lin)

I was born and raised in Southwest Florida and have called Greenville, South Carolina home since 2020. Like most photographers, I’ve loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember - back in the day, I’d be outside with my little digital camera photographing raindrops on spider webs, fully convinced I was the next Annie Leibovitz.

I’m naturally introverted and observant, which I think makes me a better photographer. I love stepping back, watching moments unfold, and capturing them in a way that feels real and honest.

A little about my life outside the camera: my husband is from Scotland, and we met while working at a summer camp in New York. We now live in Greenville with our daughter and two kitties - my three favorite models, and the reason my iCloud storage is always full. I love reading, thrifting, arts & crafts, music (I’m an emo at heart), true crime podcasts, and all kinds of TV shows.

  • My current music girl crushes are Hayley Williams (of course), Julia Wolf, and Annabelle Dinda.

    Rainbow Kitten Surprise has been my top Spotify artist for the last 2 years.

    My weekly podcast listen is Generation Why.

  • You’ll probably catch me somewhere getting an iced latte.

    I love to thrift.

    I’ve recently taken up sewing.

    Lake days in the summer and hikes in the fall.

    Also will never turn down a nap.
